参展艺术家：林峰 &飞鸟谈

　　上海——作为海派文化的发源地，海纳百川、兼容并蓄、融贯中西文化艺术，追逐时尚精神，是这座国际化大都市的DNA。

　　书法——这门历史悠久的艺术，被视为中国传统文化的代表。 然而，纵观中国书法，它并不是一部因循守旧的历史，而是一代代书家在传承中不断创新、努力寻求时代精神与自我风貌相融合的历史。

　　本次展览由东华大学和海派时尚设计及价值创造协同创新中心主办。两位艺术家都多年生活于上海，浸润在海派文化求精、求新、求变的环境中，于是，在立于书法经典根基的同时，打破传统书法的界限，呈现海派文化的精神，成为本次展览作品创作的思想主线。

　　林峰教授的《MIXING BLOOD “混血”系列》是其在美国访学期间创作并展览的作品，以当代视角解读并重构熟悉的文字符号，将汉字与英文融合在一起的同时，又保持了各自的识别性，让跨文化的交流得以顺利实现，汉字与英文形与形的巧妙共用，也使得作品极富感染力，让人回味无穷。

　　独立书法家飞鸟谈《新空间书法》概念的提出，则源自其曾身在室内设计、软装行业十多年，对书法、当代艺术、空间设计的长期观察、思考与沉淀，作品并无内容与形式风格上的刻意限定，而着眼于书法本身与其所在的空间环境、设计装饰语言、文化主旨层面的对话与共融。

　　二位艺术家有着自身的艺术语言与设计风格，各自在跨领域、跨行业的尝试中探索。在以中国传统文化为基础，书法创作为表现手段的时尚品牌视觉形象设计中，返观与重构书法在现代视觉传达中的位置与价值，是他们二人在品牌时尚设计创作理念上的共同点。

飞鸟谈“新空间书法”系列作品选

　　本次展览的主题为【MIX&FIX】，MIX即混合、融合，FIX即修整、确立，这其实是两位艺术家求索道路的写照——

　　他们不断重新审视并打破原来的“自我”，不以“风格”作为浅尝辄止的自慰剂，不断从传统文化，时尚思辨中汲取养分，不断地碰撞、融合，不断地MIXing，不断地FIXing，于艺术之路上的探求永在进行时……

　　此外，本次展览场馆德必外滩8号位于“外滩万国建筑博览群”之中，外滩无疑是上海以及海派文化最具代表的象征之一。【MIX&FIX】海派创意书法与品牌时尚艺术展在此举行，既符合本次展览融古汇今、观照中西的海派精神，也与德必外滩8号所提倡的“艺术办公”理念两相契合。

　　Shanghai is the cradle of of the Shanghai Style Culture. The spirit of openness, tolerance and the perfect match of the oriental and the occidental is the DNA deeply rooted in the international metropolis of Shanghai.

　　Calligraphy, boasting profound history in China, is the representative of the traditional Chinese culture. The history of Chinese calligraphy is not invariable .On the contrary, generations of Chinese calligraphers innovated their styles by pursuing both the Zeitgeist and the self expressions.

　　This exhibition is cosponsored by Donghua University and Shanghai Style Fashion Design & Value Creation Collaborative Innovation Center. The two artists live in shanghai for many years. Under the circumstance of excellence, innovation and variation, they want to break the frontiers of the tradition in order to better display the true spirit of the Shanghai Style Culture. Their efforts make the major ideological theme of this exhibition.

　　The Mixing Blood series by Professor Lin was written and exhibited during his visit to the United States. From the modern perspective, he interpreted and reconstructed the Chinese characters by combining the Chinese strokes and the English letters together while maintaining the characteristics respectively in order to make the cross cultural exchange. The combination of both the forms of Chinese and English make the works very expressive and thought-provoking.

　　Askatam, the independent calligrapher, proposed the concept of “New Space Calligraphy” after many years of observation and thinking about interior design, calligraphy, modern art and space design. His works are not confined to the content or the form. He focuses on the dialogues and fusion between calligraphy and the space, the design language, the culture orientation.

　　With their own styles and art languages, they are exploring with the crossover spirit. Based on the traditional Chinese culture, they share the common ground when making the fashion vision design using the tools of calligraphy by reexamining the positions and values of calligraphy in modern vision expression.

　　The theme of this exhibition is MIX & FIX, which is the reflection of their journey of art.

　　They reevaluate and break the former selves by absorbing the elements from the tradition and the fashion thinking instead of using style as the relief dose. They are on their way heading for art by clashing, mixing, fixing.

　　Besides, the venue is DoBe WE''@BUND 8 among the foreign style architecture complex always considered as the perfect representative of Shanghai and Shanghai Style Culture. This exhibition is the wonderful match of Shanghai Style Culture and DoBe WE''@BUND 8’s concept of “Art Office”.
