我们都处于关键的时间节点——“威尼斯新闻”对艺术家蔡广斌的专访

  “此刻-水墨艺境与当代图像”蔡广斌艺术展自从七月二十曰在奎里尼基金会博物馆开幕至今,无论在观众的国际性还是受关注程度上均获得了持续好评,现仍在展出中。蔡广斌日前接受著名的“威尼斯新闻”釆访,就他当下自身的状态、相关问题及认识进行了回答。

  Questions

  1. In che misura le sue origini e la sua esperienza hanno influenzato la sua posizione su arte e libertà?

  How much do your origins and your life experience influence your stance on art and freedom?

  你的起源和你的生活经历,对于你的艺术有什么样的影响,以及你生活上的自由度?

  I was born in Northern of China and educated in Chinese painting department of China Academy of art. Normally, I probably would become a traditional Chinese painter in my society, but I was really interested in Contemporary Art and I also join in some Art revolutionary events in China. So, this kind of experience made me always rethink what the most suitable form to Contemporary Chinese art was when I was young.

  After that, I moved to Shanghai since 1999 and I have to admit that this most modern city push me build a very strong system of my concept in Art. So, my life experience is a key point for my art career and the freedom of my spirit.

  我出生在中国的北方,在中国美术学院中国画系受到艺术教育,一般来说我可能会成为一个传统意义上的中国画家。但是由于我对当代艺术非常感兴趣,也感知并且践行了当时非常具有革新性质的一些社会事件。所以这种生活经历促使我重新思考,对于中国当代艺术什么才是最适当的方式,当然这是在我很年轻的时候。

  当我1999年后移居到中国上海之后,我开始思索和试验一种新的艺术观念及形式,我承认这个最现代化的都市促使我建立了一个非常强的自我意识系统以及艺术语言。所以说我的生活经历确实是一把钥匙,打开了我的艺术表达以及个人的精神世界。

  2. Vi sono Maestri o modelli che hanno segnato in modo significativo il suo percorso artistico?

  What masters, or what models, affected the most your artistic career?

  什么样的大师、语言体系,影响了你的艺术生涯。

  There are many models affected my artistic career. Although, I studied traditional Chinese art, I was inspired by many Modern/Contemporary Western Art and Western Philosophy at the beginning.

  The most important point for me is to combine western culture and Chinese culture in my art. The reason is that if we want to develop Chinese painting and you cannot just think China, we have to expand our view to the whole world.

  当然有很多的艺术体系、艺术模板、艺术大师影响了我的艺术创作。尽管我是一个学习中国画的艺术家,但是在最初的时候我受到了西方的现当代艺术以及西方哲学的影响。

  最关键的一点对于我来说是结合西方文化与中国文化在我的艺术作品当中。我这样做的原因是想去发展中国画的未来,那你不应该仅仅是思考中国画本身,而是应该把整个视野扩展到不同艺术门类的综合发展和未来的可能性,当有一个非常大的格局之后,你的实验以及扩展才具有意义。

  3. Come ha trasformato la tradizionale e secolare tecnica dell'inchiostro in un laboratorio di tecniche e linguaggi contemporanei e personalissimi? Quale è la cornice in cui sente di operare a tutti gli effetti come artista?

  How did you turn centuries-old, traditional ink painting into a lab for modern and very personal techniques and languages? In what context do you feel you operate fully as an artist?

  你如何用这样的一种非常古老传统的水墨艺术去表达你的现代化、当代化、个人化的语言和观念,以及什么样的内容,促使你成为了这样的一个如此丰富的一个艺术家。

  Well, this is very hard. First of all, I do not consider myself as an Ink painting artist. You know, I believe that if you are focus on developing the concept of contemporary art in your society and you have to make the revolution of something you get used to. I am very interested in looking for the spirit of different individuals in Chinese society, which means I spent most of my time in observing the psychological features of different generations in human's society. So, when I make clear of my situation and then I just use the energy to do the experiment about the technology of Chinese Ink painting. Finally, I create a new form of technology about Chinese Ink painting to express my concept of contemporary art.

  这个当然非常难。首先,我并不认为自己仅仅是一个水墨艺术家,你知道当你用非常多的精力以及关注点,放到当代艺术的观念层次之上,在你的社会里,那你就应该去更多的尝试一种新的东西,并且对于你已有的已经习惯性的一些内容进行一种革新以及革命。我非常感兴趣去探索不同个体的精神世界在中国社会,这也就意味着我花了大部分的时间去观察这些不同年龄阶段的人的心理特证。所以我非常了解我的处境以及我的关注点,那么在这个关注点之后,我开始对中国的水墨艺术进行一种实验。最终,我创造了一种完全崭新的一种方式以及技术手段去表达,形成我的水墨观念和相应的艺术形式。

  4.La materia delle sue opere diventa sostanza delle emozioni. Lei ricerca l'occhio sensibile, capace di penetrare la superficie, in che rapporto si pone rispetto al pubblico?

  The subject matter of your art becomes the substance of emotions. You look for the sensitive onlooker, one that can penetrate the surface. What relationship do you have with your public?

  你的艺术主题非常的细腻以及情感化。你希望去探索非常敏感性的事实,并且去剖析这些表面。这与你的公共社会有什么样的关系?

  This is a very good question and yes, my artwork is the substance of emotions about my concern in my society. I am a professor in a university in Shanghai and I really do care about my public and the key is that I am more interested in looking for the emotions in different individuals in public.

  When I get older and I want to hide the straightforward emotions to fight in my public. So, I do have a closing relationship with my public, but more rational

  这是一个非常好的问题,是的,我的作品是一种非常细腻的情感表达,这种情感源于中国社会的发展。我是上海的一个大学的教授,我非常非常关注我的社会以及公共性的一些事件,然后非常关键的一点就是,我特别感兴趣去探索不同个体的精神状态以及心理世界,尤其在中国,因为我们有一个非常特殊的政治体系,以及社会变化。

  当然在我年龄变得稍微大了一点之后,我开始希望去隐藏这种非常直接性质的感受,在我的作品当中,我与我的社会,肯定是有一个非常紧密的关系,但是如今这种关系便变得越来越理性化。

  5.Le sue opere sono in bilico tra una riflessione intima e personalissima della realtà che la circonda e una nuova espressione di una cultura cinese in forte evoluzione. Quale è la sua Cina?

  Your art balances very intimate reflections on reality around you and the new expression of a Chinese culture that is evolving rapidly. What is your China?

  艺术关于社会现实和你自己表达的一些东西,非常的具有平衡性,并且关于中国文化也涉及得非常多,什么样才是你认识的中国?

  I think China is in a very important time.

  The politics and economy of China society is always changing in the recent years. Moreover, the young generation is very different, unique and I think they really make the society more open. It is very hard to analyze what the next step to Chinese society, but my china is unique to other countries in the world because of the unique political system.

  我认为中国在一个非常关键的时间点。

  因为中国社会的社会体系和经济体系一直在改变,在这些年,她一直非常动荡,也一直在往前发展。更进一步说呢,现在生活的年轻一代也非常特别,我认为他们促使整个中国社会变得越来越开放。所以你很难去分析中国社会的下一步是什么,但是我的国家他是非常特别的,他非常有区别于很多其他的西方国家以及一些东方国家,因为我们有非常独一无二的政治体系。

  6.Crede che nella nostra società globalizzata, l'arte debba rendersi sempre più visibile ed essere uno strumento potente per ampliare gli orizzonti comuni?

  Do you believe that in our globalized society, art must become more and more visible, a tool to expand our common horizon?

  你是否认为在全球化社会应该越来越走向视觉,成为一种扩展公共认知的工具。

  Yes, I do. Contemporary art is not only about concept but also a tool to communicate with audience easily.

  Visual communications are very important for art works, so that is the reason I combine digital images with my ink paintings. I always want to use handmade paintings to express my feelings and expressions of digital world and I do realize art should be more and more visible even if you use the traditional technology.

  是的,我是这样认为的。当代艺术不仅仅只是表达你的观点,它也是一种工具去与观众进行更为直接和轻松的心理交流。

  视觉文化以及视觉交流,对于艺术作品是非常重要的。所以这也是为什么,我去融合数字图片、数字图像、数字文化去与我的水墨绘画进行结合或组合。我一直在探索很特别的手工性质的水墨形式去平衡我所拍摄制作的图像,无论是融汇混合还是并置组合,以此来表达我的情感以及我对于现实和数码世界的关注。

  我非常清醒的认识到艺术应该越来越注重它的视觉性,即使背靠的是传统,但面对的还是当代社会。
