《蓝色对话》——阿多尼斯中国画展前言

  中国宋代大诗人苏东坡的名言“诗中有画,画中有诗”,一语道破两者关联。它也超前一千年,为当代世界最富盛名的阿拉伯大诗人阿多尼斯的拼贴艺术作出了最佳阐释。

  阿多尼斯的拼贴画,充满了他诗作中的灵感和想象力。这里,首先引人注目的,是阿拉伯文字先天的视觉美。正像汉字古老的书法艺术传统,阿拉伯文的构成和书写方式,蕴含了独特的书写美学。那些美丽的字母、曲线,在阿多尼斯笔下随风飘动、翩翩起舞,让我们的眼睛,充满被看见的音乐。即使不通过译文,我们也似乎能猜出,这里呈现的,是阿拉伯古典诗歌的精魂。

  但同时,阿多尼斯并未仅仅停滞于古典之美,他冲撞它、挑战它,把充满现代意识的块面、色彩、材料,强有力地拼贴进“过去”,不惜破坏那个幻想中的完整性,又在复杂得多的世界里建构起新的统一——一种由独立个性重写、重构的精神统一。这些作品,既是词语的创作,更是超越词语的创作,他赋予视觉以意义,又让意义呈现为视觉。他在拼贴艺术,更在拼贴历史和现实、乃至时间和空间,让我们直接注视着今日阿拉伯(和全世界)文化的真实。

  一个当代艺术家,必须同时是大思想家。

  一件当代艺术品,必须是一个“思想——艺术项目”。

  阿多尼斯87岁的身影,活跃在世界各地:罗马、威尼斯、米兰、伦敦、纽约、巴黎、柏林、台北、斯德哥尔摩、贝鲁特……今天,他的拼贴画展又在古老而又美丽的杭州举行,这是灵感和灵感的相遇,活力与活力的激发。当代中国和当代阿拉伯,这全球化语境中最复杂、最不易被外人理解的两大文化板块,经由“诗”,深刻交流,融合无间,以思想之美、创造之力,拒斥血腥,肯定生命。和平沟通之“道”,恰如一首最广义的诗,超越国族、文化、语种的界限,凸显出人类生命的根本关联。

  这次阿多尼斯画展,以《蓝色对话》为标题。它的灵感,来自今年四月阿多尼斯的罗马拼贴画展。意大利著名艺术家Marco Nereo Rotelli,把它布置成一件蓝色光影装置杰作。蓝色对话——平等、美好、自由的思想对话,一个当今世界急需的观念范本,也是国际诗人、艺术家合作的大标题。朝这个动荡的世界,诗歌将发出自己的声音。

  阿多尼斯为《蓝色对话——国际诗人、艺术家合作项目》拟定了宗旨:

  它凸显出自由地平线上艺术发展之需要。通过艺术、诗和音乐,遥远的元素们构成一种辩证法:让来自不同头脑的声音、视觉,视野交汇融合,创造出新的能量。

  一个演化与波动的比喻。

  一次从人的多样性辨识出相似点的行动。

  一种事物、思想和语言的共存。

  一个组合,以书写和图像更新每一表达的含义。

  一个艺术家和诗人与整个社群、而非仅仅专家的开放式沟通。

  一种人类精神的自我净化,超越血腥和偏见,寻回诗之本义。

  Foreword

  Su Dongpo, the great poet of the Song Dynasty said, “There is poetry in the painting and there is painting in the poem”, which spoken the very truth of the two matters. It also served as the best explanation to the collage art of Adonis’, the most recognised Arabian poet in contemporary world some one thousand years ago.

  Adonis’ collages are full of inspirations and imagination in his poems. What attracts people most here is the innate visual beauty of Arabian characters. Just like the tradition of calligraphy of Chinese characters, the composition and way of writing of Arabian characters contain unique aesthetics of writing. Those beautiful letters, curves float and dance under his pen, enabling us to enjoy the visible music with our eyes. Even if we had no translation, we would have seemed to know that what is presented here is the quintessential of Arabian classic poetry.

  However, at the same time, Adonis is not content with classic beauty alone. He crashes into it and challenges it by strongly patching the blocks and surfaces, colors and materials into “the past”, not fearing to destroy the imaginary integrity. and then he establishes a new integrity in a world far more complicated—it is a mental integrity rewritten and reconstructed by independent personalities. These works are creations of words and beyond. He bestows meaning on vision and turns meaning to vision. He is not only patching the artwork, but the history and the reality, or even time and space, which allows us to see directly the reality of Arab today (and the whole world).

  A contemporary artist should be a thinker at the same time.

  A contemporary art should be a “program of thoughts and art”.

  Aged 87, Adonis is active in every corner of the world: Rome, Venice, Milan, London, New York, Paris, Berlin, Taipei, Stockholm, Beirut…today, he holds his art exhibition in Hangzhou, this ancient and beautiful city, where inspirations encounter each other and vigour is triggered. Contemporary China and contemporary Arab are the two cultural sections most complicated and difficult to understand by outsiders under global context. The exhibition will serve as a platform to make in-depth communications and integration with the media of “poems” and aim to reject sanguinariness and praise life with the beauty of thoughts and strength of creation. The “art” of peaceful communication, like a poem in its most broad sense, crosses the borders of nationalities, cultures and languages and highlights the fundamental correlation in human life.

  Adonis Art Exhibition is named as “Blue Dialogue”. The name comes from his Collage Exhibition in Rome in April this year. Marco Nereo Rotelli, the famous Italian artist has made it a masterpiece of a blue light and shadow device. Blue Dialogue—equal, beautiful and free conversations of ideas—is a concept model needed urgently by the contemporary world as well as a big topic under which, international poets and artists cooperate. Poems will make their own voices toward this turbulent world.

  Adonis has drafted the principles of Blue Dialogue—Cooperation Program of International Poets and Artists:

  It should highlight the need of art development in the horizon of freedom. A dialectics should be composed of art, poems, music and other remote elements so that different voices, visions and views from different brains can interact and integrate and create new energy.

  A metaphor of evolution and fluctuation.

  An action of identifying similarities among the diversities of human beings.

  The coexistence of things, thoughts and languages.

  A combination which updates the meaning of each expression with writing and graphics.

  The communication between an artist and poem with the whole community, instead of the expert-type open communication.

  A self-purification of human spirit--beyond sanguinarinessand prejudice and rediscovery of the original meaning of poetry.

  艺术家简介

阿多尼斯

  阿里•艾哈迈德•赛义德•伊斯比尔(Ali Ahmad Said Esber)于1930年出生于叙利亚的一个农村,对于他的读者来说,更熟悉的名字是阿多尼斯。从大马士革大学获得哲学学位后,他继续在贝鲁特的圣约瑟夫大学攻读阿拉伯文学的博士学位。

  阿多尼斯撰写了超过50本诗集、文学批评、散文以及作为其母语的阿拉伯语译作。阿多尼斯被公认为阿拉伯世界最重要的诗人以及文学理论家,同时也是其他语言或语境中最为重要的当代诗人和思想者之一。他对于阿拉伯诗歌的影响力,可与庞德或艾略特之于英国诗歌媲美,或者说两人相加的影响力,不同的是,他的诗歌中体现了他对于社会激烈而世俗的批判。

  阿多尼斯获得过多个大奖,包括希克梅特奖(土耳其)、全国诗歌奖(黎巴嫩)、金花环奖(马其顿)、诺尼诺国际文学奖(意大利)、让•马里奥外国文学奖(法国)、比昂松奖(挪威),歌德奖(德国)、笔会/纳博科夫文学奖(美国)、金藏羚羊国际诗歌奖(中国)等等。1997年,法国政府授予阿多尼斯文学艺术骑士勋章。

  Ali Ahmad Said Esber, known to readers as Adonis, was born in a rural village in north Syria in 1930. He graduated with a degree in philosophy from Damascus University and went on to earn a doctoral degree in Arabic literature from St. Joseph University in Beirut.

  Adonis has written more than fifty books of poetry, criticism, essays, and translation in his native Arabic. He is recognized as one of the most important poets and theorists of literature in the Arab world, and one of the most important contemporary poets and thinkers in any language or context. His influence on Arabic poetry can be compared with that of Pound or Eliot on poetry in English, combined, however, with a radical and secular critique of his society.

  Adonis’s many awards include the Nazim Hikmet Prize (Turkey), the National Poetry Prize (Lebanon), the Golden Wreath Award (Macedonia), Nonino Prize (Italy), Prix de Poésie Jean Malrieu Étranger (France), the Bjornson Prize (Norway), the Goethe Prize (German), PEN/Nabokov Award (United States), the Golden Tibetan Antelope Award (China) and many others. In 1997 the French government named Adonis Commandeur de I’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

  杨炼简介

  杨炼,1955年出生于瑞士,成长于北京。1983年以长诗《诺日朗》轰动大陆诗坛,其后,作品被介绍到海外。杨炼的作品以诗和散文为主,兼及文学与艺术批评。他迄今共出版中文诗集十四种、散文集二种、一部文论集与一部自传体大散文集。他的作品已被译成二十余种外文,在各国出版。杨炼作品被誉为世界上当代中国文学最有代表性的声音之一。2012年杨炼和英国诗人W N Herbert等共同主编的英译当代中文诗选《玉梯》出版,此书为在英语世界确立当代中文诗思想和艺术标准的突破性作品。2017年,杨炼英译长诗《叙事诗》获英国笔会奖和英国诗歌书籍协会推荐翻译诗集奖,他还获得上海文学杂志诗歌奖。2016年,杨炼获得了台湾首届太平洋国际诗歌奖。2015年,杨炼获得包括李白诗歌奖提名奖在内的五项中国诗歌奖。2014年,杨炼获得意大利著名的卡普里国际诗歌奖。2013年,杨炼以《同心圆》三部曲获中国首届“天铎”长诗奖。2012年,杨炼获得由诺贝尔文学奖得主奈保尔任评审团主席的意大利诺尼诺国际文学奖。1999年,杨炼获得意大利Flaiano国际诗歌奖;同年他的诗集《大海停止之处》获英国诗歌书籍协会推荐英译诗集奖。杨炼于2008年和2011年两次以最高票当选为国际笔会理事。他现任汕头大学驻校作家暨讲座教授,常驻伦敦和柏林。
